Psychological Projection: Cause and the Cure...
What is Psychological Projection? It is the act or technique of defending oneself against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in oneself, while attributing them to others. It is a defense mechanism that is characterized by projecting unwanted feelings onto other people.
Psychological projection and transference or projection bias, is a psychological disorder whereby people project their bad behavior, faults, failures, etc. onto another person, usually someone they do not like. They then attribute all of their failures onto others! People with this mental disorder often suffer from other mental disorders as well!
People who are struggling with this issue in general at their psychological core have “arrested emotional or psychological development” (see links above for more info).
In general...the roots of 'Arrested Psychological Development' are from past traumas or disturbances in childhood, adolescent or teen’s family of origin—specifically, to problems in the parent-child relationship in each childhood developmental stage. For example it is believe by some that narcissistic personality disorder in created before a child turns three years old. This early origin is thought to explain why narcissistic are so difficult to treat in later adult life. (And is the reason that some adults act like children emotionally).
Arrested emotions is one of the main causes of projection. When a person has painful thoughts or feelings, they may project these onto other people, transferring the thoughts or feelings that they need to keep inside (unconsciously) to a suitable alternative person or group.
Projection has many sub-aspects and may also ensue to eliminate attributes of other people with which we are uncomfortable to the person projecting. This person presupposes that they are like him/her, and in doing so they allow themselves to disregard those attributes they have with which they are uncomfortable.
‘Fixated’ projection is in perceiving others as operating in ways you subconsciously finds objectionable in yourself.
‘Paired’ projection is assuming that others do, think and feel in the same way as you.
Projecting can be Cured...

Emotional Projection/transference
Psychological emotional projection the 'projector screen' (or projector screen bias) can be described as instinctively supposing that others discuss the same or identical ideas, principles, principles, or roles on any given topic. According to the concepts of Sigmund Freud, it is a psychological protection procedure whereby one "projects" a person's own unwanted ideas, inspirations, wishes, emotions, and so forth onto someone else (usually another individual, but psychological projector screen onto creatures and non-living things also occurs). The most crucial of projector screen is well-established in mindset.
An representation would be an personal (Alle, for example) who seems hate for another individual (let's say Bill), however her subconscious thoughts will not allow her to become conscious of this adverse feelings. Instead of acknowledging to herself that she seems hate for Bill, she tasks her hate onto Bill, so that her conscious believed is not "I don't like Bill," but "Bill doesn't seem to like me." Another, and an interesting, example is if Allle were to say, "Bill seems to venture his emotions onto me."
Peter Gay explains it as "the function of expelling emotions or wishes the individual discovers completely unwanted – too embarrassing, too indecent, too risky – by attributing them to another." (Freud: A Lifestyle for Our Time, web page #281)
"He who battles with creatures might take excellent care lest he thereby become a beast. And if you peer for lengthy into an pit, the pit gazes also into you." - Beyond Good vs Evil
Psychological 'projector screen' is the topic of John Bly's guide A Little Book on the Individual Darkness. The "Shadows" - a phrase used in Jungian mindset to explain a wide range of psychological projector screen - represents the estimated content.
