Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus, is a novel written by British author Mary Shelley about eccentric scientist Victor Frankenstein, who creates a grotesque creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.
As depicted by Shelley, the monster is a sensitive, emotional creature whose only aim is to share his life with another sentient being like himself. The novel and film versions portrayed him as intelligent and literate, having read Paradise Lost, Plutarch's Lives, and The Sorrows of Young Werther.
Frankenstein is then driven by despair and loneliness to acts of cruelty and even murder.
Are You in a Relationship with a Real Frankenstein?
Ask yourself these questions...
Do you feel overwhelmed, controlled, worked, lack confidence and find that you are losing your sense of self?
Then you may be married to a narcissist.
Does your spouse use one set of personal rules and expectations for him/herself and use another set for directing you?
Then you may be married to a narcissist.
Does your partner dismiss your feelings as "irrational" or too "needy", but no one else in you know sees you that same way?
Then you might be married to a narcissist.
Does your spouse lie, exaggerate, act out sexually, act reckless, is emotionally lacking and attacking, manipulative, and blames you for his/her feelings?
Then you are probably married to a narcissist.
